TRIP GRADING:

Trip Grading is given as a GUIDE only.  Weather and track conditions can make the going harder.  New members should start on easier trips to enable them to assess their own fitness / confidence.   If in doubt about a trip, contact the trip leader.  Trip leaders have the authority to exclude members from trips if the trip grade is considered unsuitable.

Trip participants are reminded that certain risks exist and that trip leaders and club officers are human like everyone else and that trip participants are ultimately responsible for their own safety.

Easy (E) 3-4 hrs Suitable for a family trip
Easy-Moderate (EM) 3-6 hrs Suitable for older children.  Requires average fitness.
Moderate (M) 5-7 hrs Average fitness and reasonable health.  Some experience needed.
Hard (H) 7-9 hrs Tiring!  Need above average fitness and health.

GEAR REQUIREMENTS:
When participating on a tramp with Toi Toi Trekkers it's important to and know what you need to bring!
DAY TRIPS:
Day Pack with plastic liner Parka & overtrousers
Woollen Jumper or Poly Fleece Top Wear Shorts and carry a pair of Thermal leggings
Hat (Woollen or sun hat) and Gloves Sunscreen lotion
Lunch, drink and some extra food Insect repellent
Torch (with spare batteries) Toilet Paper
Always carry your medication and a small First Aid Kit (notify Trip Leader of any medical condition or allergy)
Comfortable Boots, or sturdy footwear should be worn with woollen socks
Change of clothes (to be left in the car) Optional items: Camera, walking pole, Thermos
WEEKEND TRIPS:
Weekend Pack with plastic liner Sleeping Bag with liner, foam pad and ground sheet
Woollen Jumper or Poly Fleece Top Wear Shorts and carry a pair of Thermal leggings
Plate, Cup & cutlery Hat (Woollen or sun hat) and Gloves
Torch (with spare batteries) Parka & overtrousers
Toiletries, small towel and Toilet Paper Matches (waterproof) and Candle
Mat, compass & Hut passes if needed Sunscreen lotion & Insect repellent
Pad, Pencil & Whistle Hut Shoes & Socks
Always carry your medication and a small First Aid Kit (notify Trip Leader of any medical condition or allergy)
Comfortable Boots, or sturdy footwear should be worn with woollen socks - spare bootlaces & socks
Change of Clothes Optional items: Camera, Book, walking pole, Thermos
 
Requirements to Join Toi Toi Trekkers Tramping Club
PLEASE NOTE:
To qualify for membership, it is necessary to take part in no fewer than two club tramping trips.
Club Membership Fees:
Joining Fee - $10 (paid once only for club gear)
Single Adult - $45 (discounted by $5 if paid by 1 June)
Extra Adult (same family) - $20 (discounted by $5 if paid by 1 June)
Child - $2
Student - $5
