Disclaimer

All outdoor activities involve risk. The club has many experienced members and a wealth of knowledge but risk always exist. Leaders are human like everyone else so remember that trip participants are ultimately responsible for their own safety. We take an emegency locator beacon on those trips that we feel warrant it, but ultimately you are responsoble for your own safety.

Protocol

If wanting to go on a trip always phone the trip leader. Petrol fare should be paid to the driver. Those walking ahead should wait at any path junctions for the group to catch up.

Trip Grades

Trip Grading is given as a GUIDE only. Weather and track conditions can make the going harder. New members should start on easier trips to enable them to assess their own fitness / confidence. If in doubt about a trip, contact the trip leader, there may be both an easy and a more difficult trip running at the same time. Trip leaders have the authority to exclude members from trips if the trip grade is considered unsuitable.
